Down in the Dumps

Hey Just Jack Fans...

Sorry, but I am posting from down in the dumps.. ..Why? You ask?

Well, summer is coming to an end. That is always a bummer when you work in education. Tom's big job interview extravaganza didn't work out like we had hoped. (Although I now affectionately call him "numba two" since that is generally where he ends up when it comes to a job offer) . And probably the saddest thing is that Sadie the 16 year old Beagle/Basset is going down hill. She barks for no reason, needs to be carried up stairs, has trouble getting comfortable and is simply wasting away in her fur. I am also not sure she can see much any more. Part of me knows it is time, but another part is waiting for a sign and secretly hoping she will just go in her sleep. As if this all isn't enough, Angry-T (who is almost 13) went for his physical yesterday. He has another ear infection and suspected UTI. His doctor now suspects he has kidney stones. So...I am bummed. I even passed up on scooter therapy last night. Someone stop this tilt-a-whirl, I want off.

Oh Misha,

I am sorry to hear about Angry-T, and about Tom. If you need anything let me know. And poor Sadie, you know I feel your pain. I have lost 2 dogs in past 2 years. Very hard decision. Again let me know if I can do anything to help. We will have to get the gang together and take a ride and sit in our favorite drive-way. Sounds like you could really use a break.

I feel so bad for you. Our "Sadie" was named Tucker and he had the same slow descent and it was heartbreaking. I called the vet and he said that only about 5 of all dogs pass away in their sleep so we had to make that dreaded decision. I really feel for you.

On a lighter note...YAY JACK! I am just getting caught up and he looks good. WTG JACK!

misha, i feel for you.. please know that i am here for you, whether it be a shoulder to cry on or (my specialty) a good stiff drink. you are such a dear friend!
we can always count on you for the smile and funny story and sometimes obtuse sense of humor. i pray that things will turn around for you soon.

I want to share 2 things with you:

1. Jeremiah 29:11 and

2. "From the bad comes the good"
(my Dad)

hang in there, we all love you!!
